Land Development Plan for 730 Wheatland Street. Planning
Commission recommended approval in their Action Memo of
January 13, 2017 by vote of 5-1. Mr. Bauers voting No.
B. Historical Architectural Review Board – (Dugan)
1. Consider approval of the Sign Request for 6 Main Street as
recommended (5-0) by the HARB Action Memo of February 7,
2017.
2. Consider approval of the Sign Request for 167 Bridge Street as
recommended (6-0) by the HARB Action Memo of February 7,
2017.
3. Consider approval of the Sign Request for 321-325 Bridge Street
as recommended (5-0) by the HARB Action Memo of February 7,

1. Consider a Temporary Community Event Application for First
Fridays 2017 on May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1, and
October 6, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Bridge and Main
Parking Lot and Main Street between Bridge Street and Church
Street to be closed from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm. Recommended
in Committee 3-0 with the condition that the proposed fire police
map be used.
2. Consider a Temporary Community Event Application for the 2017
Food Truck Festival on Saturday, May 6 and October 7, 2017 from
11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Bridge and Main Parking Lot, Main Street
between Taylor Alley and Church Street, and Bridge Street
between Starr Street and Gay Street to be closed from 6:00 am to
8:00 pm. Recommended in Committee 2-1 with the condition that
the proposed fire police map be used.
3. Consider a Temporary Community Event Application for Blobfest
2017 on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15, 2017 on Bridge
Street. Bridge Street to be closed on July 14 from 8:50 pm to 9:45
pm between Main Street and Gay Street. Bridge Street to be
closed on July 15 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm between Main Street
and Gay Street. Recommended in Committee 3-0.
4. Consider a Temporary Community Event Application for the 2017
Harvest Festival at various locations throughout the Borough on
November 2-5, 2017 at various times per the attached detail and
description list. Recommended in Committee 3-0.
5. Consider a Temporary Community Event Application for A Whole
Lot of Lulu on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Main Street from Bridge Street to Church Street and the Bridge and
Main Street Parking Lot to be closed from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm for
the event. Recommended in Committee 3-0 with the condition that
the proposed fire police map be used.
B. Policy Committee – (Dalton, Doherty. Soto)
1. Consider committee recommendation to schedule and advertise
two Community Forum meetings during 2017 and that only one
Councilor from each Ward participate. Recommended in
Committee 3-0.
2. Consider scheduling and advertising a Public Hearing to consider a
proposed Ordinance Amendment to Chapter 15 ”Motor Vehicles”.
Recommended in Committee 3-0.
Consider scheduling and advertising a Public Hearing to consider a
proposed Ordinance Amendment to Chapter 6 ”Conduct” to add a
new Part 11 “Antidiscrimination”. Recommended in Committee 3-0.
C. Police and Personnel Committee – (Doherty, Kuznar, Ewald)
1. Consider recommendation to request the Civil Service Commission
start the process for promotional testing for Lieutenant and
Corporal. Recommended in Committee 3-0.
2. Consider recommendation to remove the Council Liaison to the Fire
Department and have a Fire Department Liaison to the PPPS
Committee. Recommended in Committee 2-0.
3. Consider recommendation to make the appointment of Officer
Anthony Gray permanent having completed his mandatory
probationary period. Recommended in Committee 2-0.
